Growing up in an academic household, I basically "tunnel visioned" my way through undergraduate and grad school. The idea that we are healing machines has always fascinated me. Modern day medicine is focused on quick fixes and often ignores the body's ability to heal itself. Functional medicine, however, looks at nutrition, the environment, and the whole person in its approach to healing, which I find imperative.

Introduced to "outside the box" skincare formulators in 2011, I realized that many skincare products not only contained harmful chemicals but also lacked anything beneficial for the skin's healing process. This was my lightbulb moment, leading me to create a skincare line powered by nutritional science, aiming to change the landscape of traditional skincare.
